Fourth word

The next word is the center piece.  ‘In the beginning “GOD”‘.

GOD is before the beginning.  The beginning is of GOD.  GOD is central to the beginning.  There was no beginning without GOD.  There is only GOD.  There is GOD and then there is “the beginning.”  GOD, the beginning, me: that is the order.  I either believe that or I don’t believe that.  I believe that it is the same for everybody.  We either believe that or we don’t believe that.  There is either God or there is not God.

If there is a GOD, is there GOD.  My feeling is that there is a God.  There is GOD.

One either believes there is a God or there is not a God.

It is another step to say:  There is GOD.

The Beginning

“In the beginning” is before me, so I can only think about what the phrase means to me.

First: it is before me.  I only begin in 1943, but the beginning is a long time ago.  I’m not sure that even the experts know when the beginning was.  But this I know: the beginning was the start of everything.

The Beginning

I have always wanted to take the time to write down what I believe and have never taken the time.  So I have set aside the upcoming Sunday School year to do so.  With that said, I have now begun.

But where does one start in compiling their thoughts, on paper, about their faith?  Do I start with myself, or my faith?  Does my back ground effect my faith or does my faith effect my background?  Or do I take another step back and study the relationship between faith and God, as propositioned by scripture?

And am I thinking about a philosophical issue or a theological issue.

I really want to start with scripture and so I will.  So tomorrow I begin at Gen 1:1.
